The Interagency Working Group on Ocean Observations (IWGOO) Joint Subcommittee on Ocean Science and Technology (JSOST) has developed a five-year vision for the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS). This plan builds upon the IOOS development plan, addendum, and the predecessor documents for the U.S. IOOS(http://www.ocean.us/oceanus_publications) and incorporates that work byreference and characterizes the areas of highest priority for the U.S. contribution to the Global Earth Observing System of Systems (GEOSS).
